Regina Akopian received Ph.D. in political science from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey (2008) and MA in Political Science, from Central European University, Budapest (1995). Between 2001 and 2012, she pursued teaching career in Canadian and American universities and colleges, including the University of Calgary (2009, 2011), St. Francis Xavier University (2007-2008), The College of New Jersey (2007), and Rutgers University (2001-2006). In 2006, Ms. Akopian served as a preceptor at the Department of Politics, Princeton University (Princeton, USA). Ms. Akopian is a member of Canadian Political Science Association, Association for the Study of Nationalities (NY, USA), Georgian Political Science Association (Tbilisi, Georgia), and that of American Translators Association. She has received up to ten research grants and fellowships and is an author of various articles, manuscripts.
