SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
New Vision University contributes to innovation and sustainable infrastructure through research and technological development. By integrating scientific research with practical application, the University strengthens innovation capacity, supports the development of advanced technologies, and fosters collaboration between academia and industry.
Key Actions (Targets 9.5, 9.4, 9.b)
- Development of advanced research infrastructure, including molecular diagnostics and biomedical laboratories;
- Operation of NV-Genetics Molecular Laboratory, providing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) tumour profiling services;
- Implementation of a translational research model, linking laboratory research with clinical practice through NVU Hospital;
- Establishment of research platforms such as the Zeiss Microscopy Education and Research Center, Biomedicine and Hematology Labs, and Genetics Research Center.
NV-Genetics Molecular Laboratory
NV-Genetics Molecular Laboratory represents an example of New Vision University’s contribution to scientific innovation and healthcare infrastructure. As Georgia’s first molecular diagnostics center offering on-site tumour profiling through Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), the laboratory enables precision medicine approaches and supports improved clinical decision-making. By linking research, diagnostics, and clinical application, the initiative demonstrates the University’s role in advancing innovation and strengthening research capacity.
