Giorgi Bakhturidze gained Master of Philosophy in Health Promotion from the Bergen University, Norway (2010) and later attended a Ph.D. course at the same University (2011-15). Within the framework of the degree, he completed a scientific internship at Washington University Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, (2012) and attended a leadership course in Global Tobacco Control at John Hopkins Public Health School (2015). Mr. Bakhturidze led Implementation and Monitoring Center for Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (2003-15). Furthermore, he was a head of the Georgian Health Promotion and Education Foundation (2005-15) and a Consultant of European Bureau of World Health Organization (2010-12). Mr. Bakhturidze is a member, researcher and a leader of local and international scientific projects. He has participated in various international conferences and is an author and co-author of up to ten scientific publications.
