At various times, Nino received professional knowledge at the Diplomatic Academy of Georgia, Geneva Graduate Institute of International Studies, George C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies, Canadian Bureau for International Education, E-Governance Academy of Estonia, Defense Academy of the UK.
Dr. Baratashvili was a researcher at the Institute for European & American Countries of Georgia. She lectured on political science & diplomacy at Tbilisi Technical University, Georgian Foundation for Strategic & International Studies, Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training & Research Institute of the MFA of Georgia. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and is the author of 8 books and numerous scientific papers.
Nino Baratashvili has been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia since 1998, in various positions – in the Department for European & American Countries, Foreign Policy Research & Analysis Centre, European Affairs & Euro-Integration Department. She was rotated to the Diplomatic Mission of Georgia in Poland – was Deputy Head of Mission, Chargé d'Affaires. Since 2012, for 11 years, she headed the Department for Europe. From March 2023, she is Advisor to the Minister. She is one of the initiators and participants of strategic dialogue and high-level cooperation formats with Georgia's partner countries. She has the diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Nino Baratashvili is awarded a special prize from the Swiss Government and the Swiss Institute of International Relations - "For Leadership in International Relations" (2006); the Order of Honor for personal contribution to the Georgian state building (2012).
